POWER PROTECT was established on March 3rd 1973. The years have seen the company grow from a one man, one car operation, to a highly successful company specializing in engine protection and vehicle management solutions.

Starting off with an imported American system, breaking into a market covered by a good competitive product taxed us to the extreme. Following, at all costs a company policy of giving the best possible customer care and after-sales service and support saw the company making slow inroads into the chosen market.

In 1993, Power Protect introduced a new internally developed product, the LubriVent Engine Protection System. This product was developed in-house to meet the requirements and needs of the Southern African engine user. It was tested extensively in conjunction with large trucking fleets as well as on dynamometers of South Africa's largest engine builders test bay.

The engine protection side has developed into a range of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical engine protection systems that can be matched to old and the latest generation type motors.

In time, market requirements dictated the necessity for additional products, not only for engine protection, but also for turbo's.

Turbo Lubrication and control of vehicle abuse complimented the range of products with not only Turbo Lubricators, but RSI units, limitation of over reving (RPM) a motor, high speeds and excessive idle.

In 2004, Power Protect became actively involved in the Fleet Management arena with two management products that offer powerful information on vehicle and driver movements and actions.

The live and passive information, coupled with tracking capabilities, have taken Power Protect into a new and exciting segment of the market.
